Welcome to the Old Talbot

The Old Talbot public house is the only tradition two bar inn situated in the village of Hilton, Derbyshire and is run by Dave and Tina Rieley. The Old Talbot is very much a traditional pub with traditional values and a deserved reputation for the range and quality of the real ales on tap.

The Old Talbot is now listed in the 2010 CAMRA Good Beer Guide is also accredited with Cask Marque demonstrating our commitment to serving cask ales to the highest possible standards. We are also part of the CAMRA LocAle scheme promoting brewers that lie within a 15 mile radius of the pub.

Our aims are quite simple - to provide a warm, clean and friendly environment providing outstanding service and well presented drinks.

The pub is also at the centre of activities within the village and has raised over £10,000 for good causes in the last two years such as The Joshua Foundation, British Heart Foundation, Children in Need and Hiltons Scouts and Guides.

We hope to continue to develop the community aspect of the pub; we have a community group on Facebook so please feel free to join us; our Facebook Group has more information on events at the pub as well as images and links

We are lucky to have active pool and darts teams as well as being home to the Talbot Sunbeam Car Club and the Old Talbot Brewers - a fan club for Burton Albion FC.

Our free quiz nights are held on Mondays and Wednesdays; they start at 9.00 and are always popular.
